Privacy Policy

ReelFind ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use the ReelFind app.

1. Information Collection

ReelFind does not require a user account. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or phone number to our servers.

2. Data Storage

Your saved titles and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. We do not have access to this data.

3. Image Processing

When you scan a screenshot, text recognition is performed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. No images are uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

ReelFind uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• TMDB (The Movie Database) — used to retrieve title information based on your search queries. When you perform a search, a request containing your query text is sent to TMDB. See their privacy policy at themoviedb.org/privacy-policy.
• OpenRouter (AI provider) — used to interpret natural language descriptions (AI Hint) and to identify titles from scanned comment text. Your query or comment text is sent to OpenRouter, which routes the request to an AI model provider on our behalf — currently Google (Gemini) or, as a fallback, OpenAI. 5. Analytics

To understand how ReelFind is used and to improve it, we collect anonymous usage statistics through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in Germany. This covers basic product events — for example that the app was launched, that a scan succeeded or failed, or that a feature was opened. TelemetryDeck anonymizes device identifiers before the data reaches us, and we never include any content in these events: no screenshots, no recognized text, no titles you search for or save, and no personal information. Analytics data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

We may also use standard Apple App Store analytics to monitor app performance and crashes. This data is anonymized by Apple and does not identify you personally.
